Traditions Renewed

Cole Reyes’s piece Alleluia (The Rose) is about the evolution of traditions. For him, the Latin and English in his piece symbolize the old and the new interacting together, which was particularly poignant  in the first years of the COVID-19 pandemic, as we all celebrated important holidays and other milestones at home, with or sometimes without family. This program builds on that idea, presenting familiar Christmas texts in new settings.
